2025 Labour Presidents' United Way Campaign Kickoff and Daniele Zanotti Award Breakfast

We would like to invite all Labour presidents and leaders to the annual Labour Presidents' United Way Campaign Kickoff Breakfast and presentation of the first Daniele Zanotti Award

Toronto & York Region Labour Council was a founding partner of United Way Greater Toronto in 1956, and since then, has worked together to fight poverty and strengthen our communities. After 69 years of our shared commitment to social justice and community support, we're asking you, as leaders of the Labour Movement, to help kickoff the 2025 United Way Greater Toronto fundraising campaign.

We hope to see you on October 15 to stand united to help address poverty ANY WAY WE CAN with Labour's charity of choice, United Way Greater Toronto. Click on the RSVP button below to attend.

All donations received from the Presidents' Breakfast will be collectively presented to United Way Greater Toronto.


Last year, you helped us surpass our event goal. Please donate generously to kickoff this year's campaign. Here are some examples of how your local's donation looks like in the community:

$100 provides one child with a nutritious after-school snack while they participate in weekly programming for 12 weeks, or provides Good Food Box for six families, increasing access to fresh, locally grown, culturally diverse produce.

$2,000 provides 30 youth with the opportunity to cook an affordable, nutritious and tasty meal once a week for 40 weeks.

$10,000 provides ingredients for 10 six-week community kitchen programs, supporting150 youth in learning to prepare healthy meals.

Your support helps fund 300 community agencies across the GTA.

8:00 am - 9:00 am: Collection of pledges, mix and mingle, and breakfast buffet is opened
9:00 am - 10:00 am: Speakers and presentations
10:00 am - 11:00 am: Mix and mingle, and distribution of campaign take aways
