Special Projects is the vehicle through which Labour Community Services acts as a “bridge” between the labour movement and the community. As part of the bridging process, customized workshops and seminars are developed and targeted at union members who are considering doing volunteer work as a union activist or as a community member.

Special Projects also facilitates a variety of union inspired activities directed at local community organizations. In the past, under Special Projects, unions have provided much needed assistance to community groups and have exchanged ideas at community based coalitions.
